Although massive volumes of information are available at low cost in free text form, either on the Internet or on Intranets, people cannot read and digest this information any faster than before; in fact, for the most part they can digest even less. Moreover, when searching for information, they have to use search engines, learn techniques for efficiently manipulating keywords and then mine the information through long lists of documents.
